Writing with Broad Strokes

After a year and a half of fussing around with first (and second, and third) drafts, I realize I need to push through if I ever want to get this goddamned novel done. Sure, I know that’s what you’re supposed to do in the first place. But did I listen?

I spoke to a publisher who said Sure! Send us some sample chapters. Since they can take upwards of a year to get back to authors, they said it should be fine to send in a sample, as long as I can get the book done in the next few months. Like most writers (I’m guessing), I have to work full-time and that seriously cuts into my writing time.

So, yeah, I’m a bit panicked. What if they get back to me sooner than expected and want to see the rest of the book? Stress helps though. This has really lit a fire under my ass. I guess I should go write something now!!
